Feel PRIVILEGED to SERVE (Wish you a very Happy Year of the Dog)

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! It’s Year of the Dog! What are your plans? Upon reflections of the Year of Rooster, I’m grateful for the experiences and I feel very PRIVILEGED to SERVE! Really appreciate the opportunities to be allowed to help patients to make positive differences! It’s so rewarding to see patients’ big smiles after sharing their tears and working with them on their health concerns! It’s equally rewarding to help other upcoming pharmacist diabetes educators with my experiences and lessons I’ve learnt along the way. Being a pharmacist is very different to being a diabetes educator. However these experiences have enriched my life so much that I’m forever grateful to the higher force for the growth I’ve gained as a person and a health professional. I’ve been fortunate that many people have helped me to grow all my life, more so now as a credentialled diabetes educator! I’m inviting you to always ask your pharmacists about your medications if you have any questions as that’s my calling as a pharmacist to help people take the most appropriate medications for their health conditions! I’m sure your pharmacists would be happy to help you! I’m also inviting you to seek out diabetes educators to help you with your diabetes management in collaboration with your doctors and allied health professionals. Most importantly, I’m asking you to be very kind and gentle with yourself. You deserve to live well with diabetes!
