Christmas is only 12 days away! Many of my diabetes patients and weight management clients have already asked me what to do. We’ve already had a lot of discussion and worked out individual plans on how to enjoy the time with your loved ones eating all the yummy food feast. It seems fitting to discuss oral health and your dentist during the festive season so you can be prepared for what’s coming!
Don’t you just love seeing your dentist every 6 months? It’s more important for people with diabetes who are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop gum disease if your blood glucose levels are higher.
Do you bleed when you brush your teeth? If so, you might have gingivitis. If left untreated, periodontitis will be with you later. If it’s ignored, it might lead to loose teeth or worse tooth loss! Do you wear dentures? Do you know how to take care of yourself and your denture?
What’s the big deal as some of my patients have asked me? Why should you see your dentist? Well, let’s hear from Jeffrey Kho, a very passionate and caring dentist from Australian Dental Care Centre on how to look after your oral health.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year ahead in 2019. Enjoy the food and remember to do some physical activities *O*
